Present for 9-month old nephew

Help!

My nephew (and godson) is about 6 months older than my DS and will be 9 months at Christmas. SIL and I have agreed not to buy for each other, only for the kids, and we have a budget capped at £50 (PFBs for each of us!!). As DN is slightly older and all of SIL's friends have kids, she already has plenty of ideas for DS's Christmas gift that will clothe/entertain him over the coming year. I have no friends with kids, am on my own in a different country and have NO idea what a child of DN's age will want or need!

Anyone? The gift doesn't have to be £50 exactly, whatever isn't spent will go into DN's savings account for when he is older.

How about the Sophie Giraffe bath set?

Ooh that's a fantastic idea. DN loves his bath and is teething like a madman at the moment! Thank you!

My ds will be almost 9 months at christmas. He has an older brother so has a lot of hand me down toys(fisher price little people etc). We have just bought him a few bits and bobs- a frog thing that blows bubbles for the bath (boots 3for2), pop up ball bit and balls, few little push and go toys. We have also bought him a smart trike which was supposed to be put away for his birthday but my older ds used his around 9 months old so I think we'll just let him have it.

Also, what about a keepsake for his first christmas? We did this for ds1 and had forgot all about it for ds2. We have christmas baubles, teddies, stockings etc for our older ds.
