Is a leap pad 2 suitable for an almost 3 yr old?

That's it really. Have got one for dd 4.9 and am thinking of getting one for ds also just wondering if it'll be too advanced? He handles my iPad pretty well

I hope so, as I've got one for dd1, who will be 3 in March! I posted on here for opinions a while ago, & the consensus was that it would be suitable.

Don't know about leappad, but we bought DD1 an innotab2 for her 4th birthday this week, and DS2 (2.5) is comfy with it. I assume they're pretty similar, we're considering getting DS2 a leappad so his 'tumbletap' (as they've christened it) is different from his sister's

Thanks Smile

At least this should save them fighting over it

Bought one for our daughter's Christmas pressie. Has ace reviews and most importantly is educator approved. Don't want to slate the innotab but it's not educator approved and apparently it's educational content is pretty appalling. Make sure you get the Leappad 2 power, the power bit's pretty important as the battery life on the old version is pretty awful (apparently) and you have to buy a charger separate. Our daughter will be 3 years 5 months at Christmas. Leappad 2 is also very good value compared to leappad ultra and innotab 3s and most of the other kids tablets (May have the ultra and 3s round the wrong way). Tip you can get a lot of the games cheaper by buying the cartridges on Amazon.
