Buying a scooter for an 11 year old boy

Hi, can someone please give me advice/opinions on some scooters - the ones I'm looking at are 'Slamm' and 'Madd Gear?' Although I'm happy to get a different one. My DS is 11 and a half, he's asking for a stunt scooter. I think really he's not sure what he would like so he's asking for a scooter!

He's had a cheap one for a few years which he uses just for going up to the park etc, but recently he's said he "really really really" wants a 'proper' scooter. I've seen on the net you can pay right up to £250 Shock I'm obviously not spending that much! Nor would he expect us to Smile

What have you paid for a scooter? Does it really make a difference if I spend say £75-100 as opposed to £35?!

Oh, and probably importantly, he doesn't hang around a scooter/skate parks - so it's not like it's a big thing with him and his friends...yet! So I don't think it's peer pressure him wanting a decent one.

Thanks,

I've just bought ds2, a tall ten year old a razor one on amazon in the black Friday deals. I don't know much about them either but I think its a good middle of the range brand. They are in the black Friday deals again today. Mine was reduced from 90.00 to 62.00 :-)

I just bought a 'jd bug' pro stunt scooter from The Factory Shop for £53. It looks good for the money. There are loads about at the moment and I didn't know which one to buy either.
