Further to the love actually debate/roastingwas just thinking what is the best/most loved xmas film on mnet.

Can be Christmassy ala muppet Xmas carol or based in the festive season e.g die hard.

I can't decide - I love Scrooged, muppet Xmas carol god I could go on and on!!

Elf is the funniest without a doubt. Love it. Do you reckon my 3.9yo DS Is too young for elf?

Also love The Santa Clause 1/2/3.

I'm torn between Scrooged, One Magic Christmas and The Holiday (which I only discovered last year)

anything my 3 yo has been in the room while Elf was on, didn't actually watch much but I think it's harmless. The other 2 (8&9) LOVE it.

Had forgotten National Lampoon - it's nearly time to start spotting Griswald houses round here - sadly lights getting less whacky as electricity prices go up.

We saw Nativity 2 today at the cinema. I won't spoil it but you know what is going to happen
It is funny though.

My DC want to see the Disney Pixar one that's got Jack Frost/Sandman/ToothFairy and Easter Bunny (Guardians something)

A Christmas Carol (the animated Jim Carey one) We saw it 2 years ago at Kids AM (£1.50 a ticket).

So glad I didn't take them to the 3D. My DD shrieked when the door knocker 'spoke'

Miracle on 34th Street for me too. Second version. The first version was on this afternoon. I recorded it. I love Mary Poppins too.

Polar Express.

Definitely National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - I laughed so much the first time that I saw that film, it is hilarious.

Also, Home Alone, The Snowman

Elf, Polar express and National Lampoons. The latter being the obvious daddy of all Christmas movies.

We went to see Rise of the Guardians and that was a really lovely Christmas film...

I am a dissenting voice then. I saw rise of the guardians at the weekend. I thought it was not very good.

We watched Arthur Christmas the other day and loved it!

Arthur Christmas and the holiday! I also think of Mary poppins as a holiday film and watch every year without fail!
