What do I want for Xmas?

MIL has asked for a list but I don't know what to put except a recipe book. Her taste is very different from mine so I avoid asking for clothes etc. I asked for some nice bubble bath last year and got Dove shower gel so not sure any luxury requests would be taken notice of.
Let me know what you would like for xmas so I can get some ideas!

I have asked my parents for something potentially very tacky (must be getting old) I saw at a garden centre - part of a christmas village that lights up.
Oh and a Kate Rushton christmas CD. And a cupcake carrier. I am sooo old.
I have a Kipling purse from DH, and another bit of christmas village.

All I really care about is getting through the day without DH throwing a mood and going into a big sulk about something miniscule, and ruining the day for us all....but that's not very helpful to you.

I could do with some slippers for Christmas, but that would bring up the 'personal taste' issue.

How about a magazine subscsription. My MIL does that for me and I get to choose.Grin

I have no idea for myself this year (which is most unusual, i can usually produce a list). HTH.

How about asking for a gift voucher or book token? They are pretty hard to mess up.
Or some candles or alcohol?

I'm dreaming of some ultra lightweight yet strong tent pegs, some things to stick on gloves that you can use a smart phone with, some seeds for interesting coloured or shaped squash, remote control sockets an electric screwdriver or some wine.

I expect I'll get something chocolatey (not a chocolate fan), candles or toiletries I'll never use.
