Hi I am doing elf on the shelf this year for first time and fell in love with the gund peppermint elf. I couldn't find one anywhere but I did find an actual eots cuddly! Its nowhere near as creepy as the one that come with the book. I found it on www.purebaby.co.uk excellent service too only ordered it Sunday and it arrived today just though I would share

I thought the book elf looked terrifying. I have also read on here that the book is a bit yuck, so I shall copy someone else's idea of her arriving with a letter from Santa. Thanks for the link.

No problem I couldn't believe how quick it arrived either ordered it 9pm Sunday and it came this morning so should definitely be with you for the first. Yes schilke you could use it as bribery I am writing my own letter to explain to dc who he is and why he is here! He is also bringing paper chains, chocolate santas, Christmas activity packs and Arthur Christmas DVD in the hope the dc sit still and quiet while I get my uni work ready for hand in!

I am writing a draft letter from Father Christmas at the moment, and have got somewhat carried away inventing a fictional elf background. She is called Lumikki (Lumi for short) and comes from Lapland, but now works with Father Christmas in the North Pole where she looks after the reindeer.

I've just finished sewing my LO an elf (it's more for me as he's only 7 months!) It was very simple and I think he looks pretty cute!
