Any playmobil experts about to talk to me about the school?

DD has her eye on the playmobile school this year. This is just fine by me as I too am a playmobil fan!

I see there are two schools - this lovely but very ££££ one compared with this almost bargainous but possibly not quite so sparkly one

Does anyone have experience of either? Can you tell me any differences and indeed if the large one is worth the extra?
I would also buy bigger but DH will take some convincing!

Yes there are two different models. We have the smaller Argos one - bought in the summer under that same offer. It's great and pretty big, I personally wouldn't want anything bigger. Both my dds love it!

Looking at them again, the Argos small one is quite a bit smaller - so it really depends on how much your dd is likely to play with it - and how much space you have - as well as price. The big one is massive - it takes up an entire shelf in dd's cupboard. It is also quite difficult to move about should it need it due to size and the likelihood for bits to break off when you shift it. However I think that ultimately it has more play value than the other one - more furniture as well as the loos!

There are two different sets, 4324 & 5923, the first is the original bigger school with toilet block and larger upstairs. the second one is smaller later version which isn't as good and hence why Argos is having to sell them off!!

There is a stall at Wimborne Market that sells new and used playmobil, and you will always get a good deal from them. If this is local at all to you

Oh dear, I know I said decision made but now I'm swithering!

Tobermory · 12/11/2012 14:53

piffpaff, dont say that you were my inspiration.

Ive been reading the replies thinking i should get the smaller one, despite really really wanting the bigger one and sod the cost and admiring your decisiveness.

I live a long way from Wimbourne!!

Tobermory I am renowned as the queen of indecision. However, let me continue to inspire you. The little one is now reserved for me at Argos and that is the one I shall have!! And the best bit - I just got £60 cash back from Quidco that I had had to dispute and didn't think I was going to get, so the school is going to essentially be free! Yeehaa!

Tobermory · 12/11/2012 20:30

Piffpaff, I think you'll find that is my crown!

£60 cash back, wow that must have been some purchase!

A free school....fab!

It was car breakdown cover! Worked out at about 50% cash back which was nice.
