I have a ten year old boy and a ten year old girl. Sob. Last chance to buy "toys" instead of electronic gadgets.
Any suggestions...

The Lord of the Rings/Hobbit Lego looks great. You could give it with the book.

I've got my 10 yr old a Lego Technic plane. Last year and the year before was all about lego, this year much less so.
He hasn't played with Playmobil for a good 3 years at least though.

Although he likes Avengers and my sister is getting him The Hulk lego figure (or The Hunk as DD thought he was called). It fits together I think with Ironman and Captain America, which he already has, to make a much bigger model.

Monster Fighters Lego is really good. Lots of Lego for the money. Smyths has it on offer at the minute too.

I have a 9 yr old, and Ninjago and Hobbit are high on the X-mas list of both him and quite a lot of his friends. I think Monster Fighters are really cute, and it is hugely popular and hard to find most sets in stock around here, but seems to be big more among 7 yr old DD and her friends (who are all boys).

My 9 and 11 year old DSs haven't played with playmobile for some time but still like lego. Won't be getting them any big sets but have got them a smaller Star Wars set each and will probably get another smallish set if I find a bargain. I have got a lovely little Santa and sleigh set from the lego shop (only £2.99) which I thought they would be perfect for the little stocking which Santa leaves in their room. Sorry can't do links Blush.
