DS8 -
So far I've got-
Guiness book of world records
2 books (wimpey kid and football academy)
Fleece primark PJs
Stocking:
Socks, Pants,
Lynx spray
magic trick
Whilst all stuff I want him to have, it does sound a bit dull.
Any fun ideas?

UNO (very simple card game), junior pictionary, pass the bomb (or hot potato), junior monopoly, if he hasn't read them anything by Roald Dahl, painting by numbers (if he likes crafts), joke book

If you give your gifts with love, nothing will be boring. Alternatively, you're just giving your son an idea of what he can expect for the next 50 years! I hope you have a very Happy Christmas

What about a cinema voucher, it's something which you might do anyway but feels like a present.
My DN loves all those nerf things, they're guns with foam bullets. Last year we got him a target thing with magnetic bullets which he has loved all year (you might not like guns though).
A kite? One of those giant bubble wands? Or one of those kits where you can hatch your own butterflies (other things too, but butterflies is what one of my DDs had)?
A calendar of his favourite tv character/band.
Musical instrument, wooden marble run - you can get some amazing sets and extras to make it more interesting, skateboard.
Er, digital camera? Football top if he supports a particular team? Magazine subscription, there are some kids ones around.

I think i've exhausted the list of things we have bought various nephews over the years!
