Elf on the shelf, when do you start yours?

Does everyone start on the 1st or earlier? I am too impatient and want to start a week earlier

You can get an elf anywhere eBay is good I have linked on another elf thread in Christmas to some aurora elves (amazon also have them) or google aurora or gund elf/elves - elf on the shelf website has some templates you can use to make adoption certificates (or pm me an email address and I'll email you my lovely ones).

I don't personally like the actual elf on the shelf the other makes are much cuter.

I've caved & just ordered my Elf On The Shelf, I am rather excited .

I'm now tempted by the DVD, thought it would be a good idea to get DD into the concept. We already have a few Xmas DVD's, so if it's pants I won't bother.

So, has anyone got the DVD?

I got the DVD, but haven't watched it yet. Our elf will have it with him on the day he arrives as a little present. Hope it is good.

I feel like I have unearthed some secret santa stuff here. I was reading it all at first then I was at how I hadn't thought of it, then I don't have an elf for my DS.

I am compiling a list of things he will do, think this is the last year for me, Ds1 is 9 and Ds2 is 6. Hence the Elf, he is bringing a note to say as Ds1 has been particularly arsey boisterous this year, Father Christmas is keeping a close eye

Elf will be found on 1st December hanging through the letter box, I am beside myself with giddiness over it.
