Really gorgeous illustrated books not just kids books either, I'm considering The Hobbit for MIL and The Handmaids Tale for SIL.

Aw, how sweet of you to share :)

Might buy one for my dad.

OH my god just seen the prices, maybe not Blush (am student who's supposed to be saving!)

pictish · 29/10/2012 13:53

They're lovely but pricey.

Dawndonna · 29/10/2012 13:56

Beautiful. Dh may have something from here.

they are pricey, but special. I'm about to order Animal Farm for DB (its his favourite book of all time)

I got the Hobbit for DH last year.

Dd has had a Fairy Book for birthday and Christmas for the last few years.
She still loves them at 12 and although they are pricey they are an heirloom she can pass on to her own children (or grandchildren even).

Curtsey · 29/10/2012 16:52

Thanks OP, you have solved Christmas for me for the in-laws who have everything :)

PickledFanjoCat · 29/10/2012 16:54

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood · 29/10/2012 16:55

In Helmsley there's a bookshop which has a little wall of Folio Society books- still quite pricey, but much better!

TerrorNotSoFrightened · 30/10/2012 11:31

I think I may buy the secret garden for me DD, she is too young to appreciate it just now, so I'll look after it for her.

NoHaudinMaWheest · 30/10/2012 14:16

Yes they are truly lovely and they come in slip cases which means they are protected for handing on.
