Really no idea about this one. Already has a dolls house and little animal sets which she adores. What are little girls wanting these days?

A proper digital camera (not hideously expensive, just not a toy one), playmobil, moshi monster stuff, ukulele (and beginners book and tuner), DS game, couple of DVDs, a family board game, one of those pop star to princess barbies that sing......

loubielou31 · 24/10/2012 19:25

For 5th birthday DD just got the Barbie camper Van and some barbies to go in it. Big Girl nighties instead of PJs, stickery craft things, a childs make up set and a piggy bank.
For Christmas so far all I've come up with is more crafty things because they were a huge hit and some novelty ear muffs. I'm watching for good ideas.

anja1cam · 24/10/2012 19:42

Yes I'm rooting around for ideas too - being the second DD in our family means that 'we already have everything' (doll house, toy kitchen, marble run, wooden train set...).

However, this 5yr-old DD2's into 'real' cooking so I'm making here a simple 'Smarties cookies' Kit in a Jar that she can bake with minimal help in the holidays. Still looking for a recipe to adapt though.
Also:
Small jewellery box
books
jigsaw
Family board game (for everyone)
Crafty bits and felt tip pens.

Playmobil(mainly animals) in the home made advent calendar

For her recent birthday HAma beads hit the spot..

knackeredmother · 24/10/2012 22:16

For dd 5th birthday I bought a set of those plastic drawer/storage things and filled it with craft stuff from the pound shop/tescos. One drawer for paint, one for crep paper, stickers etc and one for pens, crayons, craft kits etc. Spent about £25 she bloomin loves it and makes stuff everyday.

Mayron · 24/10/2012 22:27

My DD has asked for her own hairdryer...I found a Barbie one, battery-operated. Also the Barbie "Girl's World" style head was in the Argos toy deal.

steppemum · 25/10/2012 00:53

They also do packs of figures and carriages too.

Honsandrevels · 25/10/2012 14:08

TheHappyCamper Where are you getting outfits from? The ones I've seen haven't been good quality yet v expensive.

TheHappyCamper · 31/10/2012 21:15

honsandrevels I've actually got most of them second hand off ebay. They are mainly ELC and Disney store so good quality. She'll never know!

ISeeThreadPeople · 31/10/2012 21:41

Walkie talkies.

MoChan · 31/10/2012 22:04

Playmobil! - DD would like the school but may be forced to settle for less...

For xmas she will probably get... Big pile of books, craft stuff, Lego, something shark-related (she's very fond of them at the moment), and possibly some merchandise related to her favourite film...

For her birthday she had junior/first Scalextric, hex bug stuff, scrap book stuff.
