Wooden advent calendar - Where do you display yours?

Hi All,

DS1 will be 2.7 come December. I'm wondering where the best place to put the advent calendar would be. Should I be a meany and put it up high to make sure it isn't all emptied on the 1st of the month (but where? He's tall for his age so can reach the mantelpiece) or be foolish trusting and try to teach him deferred gratification.

Where do you display yours?

We fill each drawer on our wooden calendar the night before it is due to be opened.

It sits on an old sideboard type thing in the dining room.

Obi that's a star idea why didn't I think of that ? -And then he can still play with it, opening all the draws 'til his little heart's content . Will put it low down now so that he can do this safely.
