Anyone got one of stuff they do not want to run put of over christmas? I hate busy shops and am trying to lay in stocks where possible. So far I've got:
Nappies wipes bread milk loo roll. Umm, what else is crucial when shops are mayhem.we do have a zombie box but trying to keep this separate.

Those hula hoops shaped like stars, I live on those at Xmas

Tin (or 6 as it was last year ) of chocolates

cough medicine - just because if you don't get any, someone will come down with killer lurgy on Christmas eve
bread - stick extra loaves in the freezer
bin bags - for wrapping paper, food, clearing up after buffets etc.

Couple of selection boxes wrapped up incase anyone brings their sisters neighbours son with then when they visit (we loved a waif or stray in our house!).

mixers, tonic water, diet coke etc.

Pet food, especially if bought from the vet/special diet. Also pet medication.

Prescription medication for humans, get repeats in good time.

Clingfilm; tinfoil; tissues

Indigestion tablets

Most of the above, also a selection of lightbulbs (especially if you have any that are hard to find stupid odd sized halogen spots )!

Milk - we have a 24 hour 7 day a week shop within spitting distance. The only day it's closed is Christmas day and one year we ran out of milk :(

Heating oil

Sodding snow.

Milk because my Xmas visitors use way, way more than we normally do.

I buy loads of those part baked bread buns.

I never know what to do about bread at christmas - leave it out and it goes off before you eat it, no room to freeze it because the freezer is full of nicer things!

So I buy loads of the part baked breads, they have a good month or so on the use by date and you can just put them in the cupboard. Fresh bread when you need it.

If you don't mind the taste, long life milk is a good one to stock up on.
