Smoked salmon bagels are good

Scrambled egg & smoked salmon

Croissants, brioche with butter & jams, pastries, orange juice & good coffee

BiddyPop · 23/10/2012 10:12

Freshly sqeezed orange juice, with fresh croissants and some good coffee. I get the croissants in a roll to bake ourselves, so then we can put some nutella into DD's and leave ours plain (some year I will think of something exciting to put into ours).

BiddyPop put a slice of marzipan in for an almond croissant. Smile

Cooked breakfast with Buck's Fizz

Venison sausages,
Streaky bacon,
Mushrooms,
Black pudding,
Poached/scrambled egg,

All piled on top of a potato cake

Yummmm yummmm

We always have Eggs Benedict. It feels like a bit of a treat without being too heavy before dinner. You could do Eggs Royale for a change.

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 23/10/2012 10:24

Or scotch pancakes with crispy streaky bacon sandwiched between them with a bit of maple syrup on top?

Can't think what it's actually called.

De-lish-ous

Hi everyone, new to mumsnet although been a lurker on the Christmas forum for a long time ;)
I am doing a Christmas day brunch for my parents before going to inlaws for Christmas dinner. All your suggestions so far are great. Any tips on good eggs benedict recipe? I LOVE eggs benedict.

eggy bread made with the leftover from a bloomer loaf bought for Christmas Eve lunch.
With vegetarian bacon (my DD loves it but it gives her the worst wind) Shock

We usually have Ackee & Saltfish with a rum/lime cocktail - try to warm up the London day.

Kids aren't too keen though - maybe blueberry ricotta pancakes & bacon with maple syrup this year.
