Christmas Holidays

Does anyone spend Christmas on holiday (actual holiday-not visiting family )and if so where do you intend to go and what do you do about presents?

We are this year, going to Australia to see family and spend it with them so it's not a holiday-holiday. Presents are going to be AWKWARD.....we wont buy out there as it is very expensive.

I am taking one case of gifts for DDs aged 8 and 4 and will buy more out there IF i see them on sale.

Their "big" presents will be waiting under the tree when we get home in January. Not quite as traditional as I would like but what can I do?? I can't pack a bike...I have told them Santa will be leaving presents in UK and bringing small things out there.
