Stocking Fillers for 12 year old Girl!!

Hi
I desperately need stocking filler ideas for my 12 year old DD!
She is into clothes, make-up-but not too heavy, too young & exma, typical girl I think she is!!
Last year I bought her a model hand, false nails, nail varnishes, nail gems & some nail art pens. They went down a storm! She really loved them & is still using them now to practice new nail designs Have had to top up the false nails a couple of times over the year
So, this year I`m struggling to find something that she will love or even like half as much as that!
I need your help with ideas please!

How about nail wraps you put them on using a hairdryer on your original nails then they just peel off. Fiddly but some beautiful designs. At that age I got a scented hairdryer it was the best you put drops of oil in a pad on the back and it blew strawberry scent. I'll report back as and when I think of stuff

My girls always get knickers!
New Look voucher? Nail varnish? A book/CD/DVD?
Pretty notebook? Cuddly toy?(never too old for teddies!)

Sd has listed orbeez for her foot spa thing, I was dubious about it but its actually quite good, an iTunes voucher. We will probably add bed socks. A glow wand, choc, hair bobbles and new pens ect

My dd was 15 last month. Her favorite present was a £10 Starbucks voucher.

I've a 14 year old and her stocking is my favourite bit. I fill it with really cool chocolate - giant carluccio's coin, carlucccios sugar almond flower, hotel chocolate reindeer, something fun to do like nail stuff, a proper book, a One Direction annual, one direction stationery, cool lip balms like the Dr pepper flavoured one, last year a pair of cheap plimsolls (primark etc) and a decoration kit (from Cox and Cox), 'tattoo' pens also from Cox and Cox, loads of pretty, inexpensive jewellery, bangles, earrings, giant toblerone, a craft kit like a tiny sew your own robin, a new cd, dance tights/

All of the above stops her coming down before 8am

For my DD I sometimes group little bits of things together and make cellophane parcels to put in her stocking - look a bit more special and expensive than the tat things really were.

So you could add to the nail varnish thing - as someone else said, magnetic nailvarnish, or does she have any crackle top coat? My DD loves that. Plus some quick-dry spray, topcoat/base coat, sparkly emery boards/nail corrector pens

Craft items - blank cards/envelopes; stickers/toppers; peel offs (usually "thank you" ones for my DD as an unsubtle hint, but also happy birthday etc)

Cake decorations/cookie cutters/writing icing/cupcake stuff

Other things my DD has had over the last few years:
Things she needs - tights, socks, knickers, toiletries, hairbrush, hat, scarf, gloves

Puzzle books - suduko, wordsearch, crosswords

Purse; key ring; mobile phone charm; jewellery/badges/

Cinema vouchers and popcorn (given that we were planning on going to the cinema anyway!)

For last few years I've gone for buying the one pair of the nicest PJs we can afford each, they get wrapped up and we all wear then on Christmas night.

In stocking: (We have fairly small ones) posh knickers, nail things, new lip gloss & mascara, my girl needs nail clippers and would like the magnetic varnish, stationary bits and bobs, I might do a small gift card this year for music or clothes or books, usually get a new hairbrush (always Denmann's),...wash-out hair colour, little chocolates (Boots have some nice things, and they are 3 for 2) jelly beans. Also, as of last year, I have been making 'gift vouchers' for their music/sports (and 'taxi' vouchers to get there) as they know these things are a big chunk of our money and we can't afford to give them expensive gadgets and the latest of anything as well! It's turning into a bit of a running joke now, and they make us little vouchers for cups of tea/coffee and hugs and so on. I'm thinking of magazine subscription (New Scientist for 14yo) but like to keep stocking fillers lower value.

If she liked the nail art she might enjoy a hotfix wand. You can buy the hotfix crystals separately. I like rhinestonez for those but you can get them in hobbycraft, amazon etc.
DD1 had one of these at 13 and loved it. You can glitz up clothes, shoes, accessories - anything you can stick crystals to.

Does she have an handbag sized manicure set? What about books, sweeties, a nail art book. Things to do with make up - eg mascara, spot concealer?

vouchers, chocolate, nail varnish kits and wraps, maybe lipgloss or barry m do great lip crayons. perfume, socks underwear, personalised tshirt maybe?

My DD1 is 12 and last year I one the make up/ Claire's stocking but was struggling this year.

Will be adding beauty stuff eg clearisil and simple gift sets.

Oooooooooh loving the hand!!! Dd has a "severed head" aka hair model head and the use its had over the years!!

at severed head. That's what we called DD's, didn't know they did hands too!

Starbucks voucher is an excellent idea, she'd love that. She just wants vouchers for clothes so the stocking-fillers are much more extravagant this year because she has a five yo brother and I suffer from pile-anxiety...

So far, DD has a Rainbow Light Bulb, pretty alarm clock, popcorn holder for whatever is left of the Joe and Seph's gourmet popcorn the elf is bringing on Christmas Eve , One Direction Annual, vanity case and the latest scarily-animated Barbie DVD.

She will really love that because I stopped buying them for a few years but the first one came out when she was little and I know she is always surreptitiously watching them at her younger cousin's house, so it's a little treat for us both really as she is getting so very big but is still my baby

Can I suggest the Avon book?

My dd so far has mini perfumes handbag sized, nail varnishes, chocolate coins, bath fizzers, a phone screen cleaner shaped like a car? Lip gloss, lip balm, nail varnish, nail files, nail buffer, little had cream, bubble bath...

Rio is great for nail art(abit expsensive in argos)

Can get them quite cheap on ebay, they come in pot, one to do lines with another tip to do a pen.

I use them on my nails to make polka dots, and can re-use them after( put different nail varnish in them)

So if i wanted black dots id wipe the dotted end and dip in black. They are wonderful.

I have lots of spares( i will send them to you if like)

Im 19 and i love them( i do zebra print etc, it takes time to learn but im sure you will become a dummy for her)

musicposy Is the Hotfix Wand for nails?? It looks like it could be used for clothes aswell DD will love it if its for nails along with lots of sparkly things!!

Im loving all the great ideas, I think Ill be spending sar too much money again this year!!

I keep my teenagers stockings really simple. Fun socks, nail varnish remover, waxing strips, satsumas, chocolate and I keep any perfume samples throughput the year for the stockings! The children think the stocking is the best part of Christmas and I am not allowed to stop them until they leave home :-)

No, clothes/ shoes/ ornaments/ gadgets only. It's very hot!
