(Cheap) tablet and games for 5 year old?

I'd like to get my DD a tablet pc for Christmas, that I can pre-load with some (educational!) games.

Can anyone recommend a good one (at the cheaper end!) and any good games too, please?

Mooq, I started a similar thread asking for advice on leap pads and innotabs etc earlier, so I'm interested in why you have decided to go for a tablet please. Why a tablet, rather than a leappad/innotab? My DS is 4 and I don't know what to buy.
