Is he into Lego - my 10yo DS is still keen on his Star Wars Lego - or there's Lord of the Rings stuff out now (tie-in with the Hobbit film due out)?

Waitingforastartofall · 09/10/2012 11:48

having the same problem with SS who is 8, lots of toys seem to babyish but last year he was disappointed when ds got stuff he liked ( age 4 at the time) so maybe i was too hasty with the lack of playsets ect. This year im thinking something to make, and use in different ways, playsets that fit together maybe

Something else I saw recently was the Makedo range of sets that I thought would quite appeal to ds.

Also a few 'brain' games I came across of Amazon - Q-Bitz and River Crossing Game.

rainbowriver · 10/10/2012 11:59

Thanks for the tip, I just ordered Q-Bitz.

DS turns 10 three days before Christmas, so will be watching for ideas!
For his birthday we are giving him an ipod touch.
Ideas for Christmas so far are
Pennyboard skateboard thingy.
Lego monster kits
Football kit
Wii game
Stuff about sharks
New Wimpy Kid book
Magic set

I find ds quite tough to buy for!
He has asked for Lacrosse stuff! I was going to give him my old stick but my mum got rid of it, and I have no idea where there is a local Lacrosse team, so he is going to have to wait for that!
