The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre! I have booked to see it with DH and DS (2) as I've heard it's fab (and will be its 14th year i think so must be good!). I got cheap £15 seats by booking direct with Saddlers Wells website (rather than Ticketmaster etc.. where can't choose seats!).

How old is the youngest? The barbican has 59 minutes to save Christmas on for its xmas show this year (but minimum age is 6 I think). There's also Panto (great for young and old) - Lilly Savage in Aladdin at the Dome and various others around London (check out time out).

Room on the Broom
The Little Angel theatre often do good stuff
The Shaw Theatre have a traditional panto with a z list celeb which is aimed at the younger child i think

I took my DS when he was 5 yo (he'll be 13 this Christmas) and he still remembers it

For anyone with kids who may not stay still and sitting, I can recommend the very back row of the circle in the Peacock Theatre. They are the cheap seats but you get a really great view and there is no-one behind you so no worries about your child blocking someone else's view. If you have little children the Snowman is the perfect show because there is low level child noise throughout and no shushing.

Oh good can't wait! Grin

How about A Christmas Carol though a play rather than musical but can't get more Christmassy!

I took DD last year to see The Snowman at The Peacock. She was 3.5 then. We watched the DVD a couple of times before we went to the theatre so she understood the story. We snuck in our own cartons of juice and a sweet for the interval. But I do recommend getting whatever the torchlight thing they'll be selling at the door - it was a light-up snowman for about £6 when we went and ALL the kids had them to wave about. We both loved the show. As Iris said, there is low level child noise throughout so very reassuring for parents.Smile highly recommend.

We've also seen Room on the Broom and that too was fab. The Snowman outclassed it though. I've avoided the Gruffalo (if it's still on) as reading the 'small print' it is an interpretation of the story. A mexican represents the snake etc. My 4YO DD would expect to see a snake or a representation of a snake - would have no idea of the relevance of a mexican. I don't think DD is ready for 'interpretations' yet.
