to start my Christmas planning now?

I have bought a few presents, checked how much wrapping paper I have, and bought Heston's Orange in a Cake thingy from Waitrose.

How much forward planning should I actually do? How can I be sure that I will get it right on the day?

So if I start planning now, AIBU?

You are leaving it a bit late aren't you?

Trills · 07/10/2012 22:29

No such thing as "getting it right".

Just get lots of gin.

Hassled · 07/10/2012 22:30

My sprouts have been on a simmer since August. You haven't planned nearly early enough.

MaryZed · 07/10/2012 22:30

IT'S ONLY FUCKING OCTOBER

Trills · 07/10/2012 22:31

Don't worry MaryZ - I reported this before it had a single reply. Just stirring, innit?

Sparklingbrook · 07/10/2012 22:32

Well it is too early but it makes sense. I don't care about getting it right, just getting it. Grin

SheelaNeGig · 07/10/2012 22:33

HolyAutumnGoldBatman · 07/10/2012 22:35

YABU

It's October. What have you been doing for the last 10 months ffs?!

Get a grip woman. My presents have been wrapped under the tree since August.

Sparklingbrook · 07/10/2012 22:37

Did I MaryZed what was it about? Confused I have just this minute started one in the Christmas topic.

Whitecherry · 07/10/2012 22:39

You really need to start back in January.... In the sales

Is your cake made yet....stir up Sunday has gone I believe

Also, Argos 3 for 2 on toys ended last week. You may just make the sainsburys half price sale.

VintageAxeWeldingPboredWarrior · 07/10/2012 22:45

You're supposed to start 6weeks after the last one finished.

GoSakuramachi · 07/10/2012 22:50

Sod off to the xmas topic, you are all littering up aibu with this christmas bullshit.

MardyBra · 07/10/2012 22:51

Another bloody Christmas thread in AIBU? Angry

Glitterknickaz · 07/10/2012 22:52

I'm panicking as I've left it late Sad
Bloody tight budget.

GhostofMammaTJ · 07/10/2012 22:56

I have recently had a chat with my friend about paying for vouchers for next Christmas. I know what I am getting my DC for their main presents and have bought some little ones too. Most of what they get will be second hand, but they won't know or care.

Ebay is our friend Glitterknickaz.

DevaDiva · 07/10/2012 23:04

You are of course talking about Christmas 2014 aren't you? Don't worry you're a little late but there's just about enough time to catch up Grin

Inneedofbrandy · 07/10/2012 23:09

YANBU It is never to early to start planning. I start as soon as the kids go back after summer.

I love christmas threads Grin gives me ideas to write in my christmas planning book.

Tryingtothinkofnewsnazzyname · 07/10/2012 23:10
