Are all fireman Sam toys utter crap?

Ds loves fireman Sam but the toys appear to be a bit rubbish looking at amazon reviews.
Are any of them ok? I know he'd like them but will get frustrated if they fall apart etc.

DS loves FS and has done since he was 2 (he is just 4). The branded toys are indeed utter crap. For his third birthday both sets of GPs clubbed together to get him a lovely big wooden fire station , fire engine, fire men and various bits from Plan Toys and he loves it. He has played with it almost constantly for a year.

We had a Jupiter Fire Engine that lasted a few years
