DS1 (5yo) wants a "plant card" for Christmas

"A card with all different types of plants on it," he says. I am hoping that some kind of book will fulfill the brief. Can anyone recommend one??

ha ha what a thing to want! we have some books on plants i shall have a look.

those little books the ones where you can mark off the things you have seen, kind of like eye spy? are good i bet they do a plant one, we have all the road/transport type ones buti am sure there do a plant one, do you know the kind of book i mean? they are only little.

usborne books are good for stuff like this as well normally.

google plant books for children?

The wildlife books in places like RSPB reserves are great.

Also, you could gather or make images of the plants in your area and make him a big poster - loads of places will do large printing now.

You can used to be able to buy a card with all sorts of seeds on it that you cut up and planted........

We got a trees book from a remaindered book place because the kid kept asking what type of tree was which.

I now know that trees still all look the same to me :)
