Day 3 of stomach bug Sad. I'm off work, we are cuddling, it is raining outside. Now, I think, is the perfect time to crack out the Christmas films!! Yey!! Nothing like FC, shiny lights and a festive soundtrack to make us all feel a bit better.

I'm thinking maybe Polar Express, The Santa Clause, Santa Claus the Movie.

Smile

What are your festive favourites?

Mine is National Lampoon's, although he's a bit little for that yet.

I love Miracle on 34th Street - both the old and new versions! And Elf!

DS (5) LOVES Santa Buddies and Search for Santa Paws.

Wetthemogwai · 20/09/2012 09:31

Elf is a definite fave here too!

Can't beat The Polar Express and Elf :)

Isnt it a bit early for the festive films though? Will the excitement not wane a bit between now and Christmas which is THREE MONTHS AWAY?

Whatevertheweather · 20/09/2012 09:54

ELF!! Oooh now I feel like watching it 'SANTA! I know him' GrinGrin

DD's favourite is Shrek the Halls

We watch The Nightmare Before Christmas, every Christmas Eve.

Think I'd rather settle down to a Star Wars / Harry Potter / Indiana Jones marathon in September though!

We always started watching National Lampoon's in September when we were kids, and Father Christmas (Raymond Briggs). It never waned our enthusiasm Grin.

He's 3, so a touch young for Star Wars, etc. Hasn't stopped DH trying though. He's sick, and he asked because he saw the DVDs, so that's what we are doing. They are films - we aren't putting the tree up or anything! (Tempting though...)

We are watching Santa Claus. I love Elf too. Might do that later. However am very narked off that I'd moved a load onto the computer and DH (saboteur) seems to have deleted them all. Polar Express is all gone. That'll teach me for falling for the whole 'let's create some space, copy some DVDs and get rid of them' trick. Funny how it's just mine that have gone. The sci-fi is all present and correct. We might end up on a Star Wars marathon because that's all that's left.
