Hi,

I am thinking of taking 5 year old to Lapland UK (depending on cost/availability etc) but do not know anyone who has been & have only seen their 2012 website info.

Can I ask for your thoughts if you have been - was it worth it ? best age to go or any alternative suggestions for really special Christmas experience. Anywhere Kent, Surrey or London area would be where we are looking for.

Thank you very much

I've looked on the Internet and found this:

Bewl Water Estate, Lamberhurst, Kent, TN3 8JH

I looked on their website, this year they are moving Lapland UK to Windsor Park.

(Very Envy my DC are 10 and nearly 13 yo so too old for Lapland UK. A 5 yo would love it from what I've seen of the pictures)

Hi

I have booked again to go this year, it will be our 3rd year in a row, my little man now 6, talks about it all year, saying I hope Santa will ask me to help again this year.

It is at Bewl Water Estate, in Kent again. It is pricey but I just love watching him with the real Santa.

I have also heard but not been that the reindeer santurary in Kent is good, and is a cheaper option.

OOOH Cakemom I would love to hear all about it- plus and do's and dont's, if you have the time.

I've booked to go with DS (5yo). I've read lots of good and bad stuff about it, but decided to bite the bullet as I would love DS to have a special Christmas Experience this year, while he still believes in the magic. We went on a Santa Train experience last year, DS was beside himself with excitement but unfortunately Santa was having a bad day and just handed him a gift but didn't speak to him.

I've a few nagging doubts though, as it was rather expensive, and I've since read that things like, you need to get special money in advance for food or gifts, and a photo with Santa will cost extra (and you are not allowed to take photos yourself while with Santa)- this has a whiff of 'scrooge' to me so I'm feeling a bit concerned.......

We live 3 hours away, so I've booked a value hotel tom stay the night before. I really hope its a lovely place.
