Weekend between Christmas and New Year

When ds is older (possibly next year) I am planning on booking a panto for the weekend between Christmas and new year. However I don't think ds is old enough at 2 to enjoy a panto this year.

What do you do in the days between Christmas and New year?

The last 2 we have been back in the UK have been fairly quiet and a bit boring TBG. First one back we were snowed in and last year I think we just went to the park and also the cinema.

I took DD to the panto last year and she was 16 mo, and she loved it! Will be taking her again this year.

We work between Christmas and new year, so we tend to do most of the stuff before boxing day. After that it is business as usual.

As a child we would just spend time playing with our new toys, going out for walks etc. Also going round and catching up with the family who are up visiting.

Ds enjoyed panto/ musicals last year when he was 2 :)

Sometimes work but mostly have a lot of pyjama days watching new DVDs and stuffing ourselves with leftovers.

DS hated panto last year at 3.4!

I have to work 1 day between Christmas and New Year, otherwise we are normally travelling between home (Yorkshire) and family (Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wales). Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without driving about 1000 miles.

Ds is not a fan of being in the middle of lots of loud shouty people (I can't even take him swimming or to soft play!) so I think panto would be a little intense for him this year but I'm hoping he will be better by the time he's 3!

Dh and I will both have to work every weekday between Christmas and New Year so I am hoping to find something vaguely Christmassy for the weekend.

Both dds were 5 before they enjoyed panto! They get very loud!
