Kurio tablet for kids??

Has anyone's dc's got a Kurio tablet and are they any good? Thinking if getting my 6yr old ds one but have no idea if Its worth the price or even works well?

I'll watch this with interest as we are exactly the same - thinking of getting this for Ds who is 6.

I did read a couple of not very good reviews but looks forward to hearing the result.

Me and DH use it when kids have gone to bed, kids love it, all their friends want one...

The best things imo, are:

Parental controls - kids are safe online as it blocks any nasty content and is updated 24/7
Time controls - turns itself off after set times, so you don't have to wrestle it off the kids at bedtime (also means they are more likely to share!!)
Pre-loaded apps - lots of apps already on there, so you don't have to shell out more as soon as you've bought it.
