I want to plan a nice stash of magazines to read for the cold evenings when I'm not mumsnetting!
Do you always buy the same one? Which ones are good and which I should I avoid?

Good housekeeping is good if you like to cook, and it has a nice traditional feel if that's your thing?

Oh do they do a specific Christmas edition?
I do like traditional I just love Christmas tbh

I buy the Christmas editions of
Good Housekeeping
Woman and Home
Essentials (I have that on subscrition)
Prime

I don't buy any fashions/ Wimmins interest
Or those Home & Garden or House Beautiful
Or Womans Own, Woman, Chat, type things.

Every year I promise myself a day lounging in bed with a huge stash of magazines to read through and make notes.
Maybe this year ? Grin

The Sainsbury's one is also quite good for Christmas ideas and recipes. Some nice things in it last year.
Agree about Good Housekeeping too.

Prima not Prime Blush

seabuckthorn · 13/09/2012 22:35

I have essentials on subscription, so that's one!
I think I'll get Good Housekeeping and Sainsburys too.
I'm having a baby before Christmas. I need these things to be noted so when I'm hit with the post natal haze I can just look at my list.

If you can get it, Martha Stewarts Living magazine is lovely. It's hard to find as it's an American import, but some of the bigger WHSmiths have them. I drool over it every year Grin
