And I have a beautiful shiny new copy in my hands right this minute and its exclusively in shops tomorrow

May the young lad who got a bollocking in M&S for giving it to me a day early earn his wings in heaven.

What shall I order ?? I want it ALL .... There are some lovely new additions in thete this year

Oh, do you mean the one that's hand carved in the Holy Lands, so each one is unique?

I keep looking to see if they reduce it after Christmas (it is very nice, I agree)

TastesLikePanda · 04/09/2012 23:28

Ooh! Edible Glitter!

ObiWan · 05/09/2012 07:04

I love the M&S Christmas food book. I can see myself putting twinkly puddings out on poncey plates, while civilised, clean, and shiny children (clearly not mine, I'd have to borrow a few) choose one each, and appreciate them.

I love the idea of standing in line on Christmas Eve, mortally afraid that they might (horror!) be giving away my giant turkey to someone else.

I have never in my life actually ordered anything though.

We end up lumping everything into the last Tesco order before Christmas, so I still have the fear about the turkey, but not the twinkly, shiney, M&S magic.

I feel like the child who never got a Mr. Frosty.

Yes lots for vegetarians . Lots of different salmons and most of the desserts ate for vegetarians

worm77daisy · 05/09/2012 09:41

Looking for link to order one but for now: Online Catalogue

worm77daisy · 05/09/2012 09:43

Sorry that isn't the right one even though it said it was...

Oooh, I love their Christmas range - hopefully their Xmas food catalogue will go "properly" online soon. It's basically food porn, and that sort of thing is best appreciated in a dark room lit only by a computer screen.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 05/09/2012 13:09

I've had a look at the online catalogue - thankyou Shiny - and I am especially taken by the Outdoor Bred Pork and Leek Sausages. I have this image of happy little chipolatas gambolling in the meadows, in the sunshine, until they are big enough to be humanely killed and packaged for M&S!

LinusJ · 05/09/2012 13:27

It's just a shame that chipolatas these days have to be farmed because they wouldn't survive in the wild.

CiderwithBuda · 05/09/2012 13:35

I have already received and binned the Lakeland Xmas catalogue. Well recycled it. Thought it was disappointing. But will no doubt manage to find things to buy that I don't need in the shop.

Liking the sound of the M&S catalogue though. Although DH will want us to cook from scratch. Some nice M&S things will magically appear.

I wonder will Waitrose be doing Heston stuff again?

milk · 05/09/2012 13:56

Red Cabbage & Honey-Roasted Carrots sounds ace! Grin

iseenodust · 05/09/2012 14:52

TastesLike They were doing mini choc puds with gold glitter on top recently. Delicious.

I have to buy the turkey from there oh yes I do, because I have to go for the gluten free stuffing and sausages and nobody can be reasonably asked to face Xmas food queues in two stores. They give you chocs or choc biccies in the MnS queue too Wink

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/09/2012 14:55

I was in M&S today and picked up a Food Ordering Catalogue from the desk, but didn't see a Christmas one.

I was scared to ask in case they were Shock Hmm Confused and said "FFS it's September !!"

(I know they would swear at me -well not out loud- but they'd be a bit meh )

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/09/2012 14:56

wouldn't swear - wouldn't Blush

VivaLeBeaver · 05/09/2012 14:56

I asked for it today. Got a funny look and was told its not out till Oct. I resisted the urge to call the sales assistant a lying cow. Wink

Shinyshoes1 · 05/09/2012 15:31

Lol oh dear viva . It doesn't say Christmas on it , it just says available from 5th September . I suppose because it covers new year as well

OP posts:
Shinyshoes1 · 05/09/2012 15:34

The young man assured me it definitely was the Christmas catalogue . The older lady said " you're not meant to give the Christmas ones out until tomorrow , it's too early WE ARE NOT ALLOWED " in a rather managerial and bllocking tone Grin
He called out after me " you can't order from it until tomorrow " poor thing

BiscuitNibbler · 05/09/2012 16:04

Hmmm... looking online they have just released their Autumn and Party food to order selections. Looks like this isn't the Christmas one. Maybe there is still hope for the Christmas Pudding Cheesecake? [desperately clutching at straws]

Shiny - does it have the turkeys / hams / stuffings / Christmas cakes in it? If not it is definitely not the Christmas one.

VivaLeBeaver · 05/09/2012 18:54

Aghghhh, that would have been it yet. She said there was a new one but it wasn't a Xmas one. So I didn't other going to look at it. Bugger! Stupid woman, if it's got turkeys in it then it's the Xmas one even if it doesn't say Xmas.

VivaLeBeaver · 05/09/2012 18:54

She definetly told me the Xmas one would be out in oct.

Doodlekitty · 05/09/2012 18:58

If you order from it do you pay now or in December?

VoldemortsNipple · 05/09/2012 19:31

Am I right, can you pay off your Christmas order? I'm sure I read that on here last year. I might put a cheeky order in and pay off it if I can get an early order in.:o
