I have no stress whatsoever. Here are the reasons its so great.

We do not have to be anywhere or do anything
We dont need to make small talk with people we would rather not be with
Dinner was eaten when it was ready
I got all the presents i wanted (i bought them myself for the children to give to me)
And finally i am spending it with the 3 most important people in my life

Happy happy happy

same here. Its 3 30 and we are all relaxed, listening to music.

The turkey is read to go in the oven. Got it all from M and S, even the gravy. No prep and just chuck it all in the dish washer after.

Just us three and must says it is looking like one of the best christmas days in a long time.

We went out for lunch. I highly recommend this. A lazy morning of presents and cheerful arguing. No cooking. Out to a fantastic festive feast. Saw friends. No washing up. Home for sleeping, clutching bellies and playing the Christmas board game. Lovely.

Stayed at home this year, no visits to parents, as is expected. They were invited out here but declined. 'You are spoiling it a little for us and for your sister'Xmas Hmm
They were all invited out here, where the children are, 'But your house is Tiny!' (said in disgusted tones)
Their loss.

Very quiet, very calm, very happy.

We too had a quiet Christmas, just the four of us (five if you count the dog). A lazy morning with croissants and presents, the children have spent the day playing with their toys and gadgets, dh and I prepared dinner (prepped a lot of it yesterday) with a glass of wine, all ate at approx 2pm, now vegging out in front of tv watching dd play with her 'eyepet' (a game on PS3) eating chocolate, cup of tea to hand.... Looking forward to Dr Who later this evening.... Absolute Bliss!!

I have been married 17yrs now and our rule is we have no visitors on christmas day and we visit noone Wink parents were midded when dc's came along but im not joking the amount of people who moan and cook for 20+ people its just not my thing
We are a busy family and its lovely to be together just the 4 of us all day Smile

we have had a lovely day, so relaxed compared to usual. had dinner at 3.15, and took the girls off to their dads after, this evening will be spent watching doctor who with the boys and picking at leftovers. really good day overall, and not stressed at all (despite doing dinner 5 hours earlier than usual)
