2 year old @ 'midnight' mass

Is it just me who thinks it is unrealistic to take a 2yr old to an hour's service at 9pm tonight. I know it's traditional, and would mean we don't need to go in the morning. I am willing to stay home with him while dh takes FIL and dd1(nearly 7) and dd2(nearly 5). He's already tetchy as only had half an hour sleep this morning.

Its fine! Stick Carols from Kings on the tv now and break out the sherry. Or wake him up for midnight mass on bbc1 at 11.30.

Yeah best stay at home. I would love to go to midnight mass but have no babysitter and dh working. 2 yr old and church at night = nightmare!

I agree. I'd love to go to midnight mass but even at nearly 4 it would wipe DD out. In a couple more years maybe.

After a massive tantrum (ds, not me or dh), dh agrees best not to take him. Will see how the girls are, think if they are still awake will take them, might tire them out, as they have been pushing bedtime recently.
