Hi, looking for inspiration?! Do you go anywhere? Kids are age 3 - 11.

We always go to a fancy swimming pool with slides, waves etc. Most of the year it's hideously busy but on xmas eve the kids have it virtually to themselves. Am taking 5 tomorrow, my 3 plus a friend's 2 and hoping the fact it is Saturday won't mean its much busier than a normal 24th December. Even better as smallest is now over 8 I get to sit on the side with a magazine!

Last few years we have wLked the legs off them in town then went to an evening showing at the cinema to see a non Christmas film. Then home for bath and bed. The dcs have slept a treat. This year we are doing the same but at home.

We go to my Mums for the afternoon then 'Birthday Party for Jesus' at my Mum's church before home for hampers, DVD and bed.

We visit family all day, coming home at bedtime.

So we will be setting off around 9 tomorrow morning, family liove an hour away. Visiting my parents for lunch. Christmas Fairy normally leaves new PJs under my parent's tree too. Then after lunch we will drive the 10 minutes or so to DH's grandad's house for an hour, then on to PILs who are 5 min from there. This year BIL/SIL and my two young nieces are there too so DD will have fun with them. Going to the local church for the Christingle service, then back for dinner.

Then home in time to leave FC's snack out and bedtime.

this morning we shall visit some lovely neighbours to deliver a gift (elderly who dote on dds- only half hour), then chill time at home followed by a xmas eve party at my friends between 1-3. Then going for a pub tea. Afterwards we will come home about 5pm and open our xmas eve hamper containing:
-hot choc/marshmellows
-boxes of mine and dh favourite sweets
-wine
-snowman dvd for the kids
-kids new pjs

  • snowman shaped bubblebath
-popcorm -night before xmas book and cd

really excited!

This year i have pinched a mnposters idea of wrapping the living room door so the kids have to burst in!!!

Go out for something to eat and then to the cinema, we,ve done it for years now.

Mine have had their Christmas bags so have been munching their biscuits and watching their Christmas DVDs. I made sure I got them up before 10 (!) so that my 2 DDs (age 7 and 10) will be able to get some sleep tonight.

We have been baking and are off to visit Father Christmas very soon. Then we go for a night walk to see the Christmas lights when it gets dark, then back for hot choc, putting out the stuff for FC and bed.

One of my christmas eve activities for the dcs was getting them to cover a box each with left over wrapping paper - all ready for the presents next day.
