Actually, it wasn't that bad. 1 minute to get a parking spot, second in a checkout queue, and restocking shelves happening in a continuous loop. I was there at 8.30am, mind!
New strategy this year. I ask 'Will it get eaten?' before I buy it! And I have 2 drinks parties to cater so what doesn't get cooked for the first will be wheeled out for the second.
