What have I done wrong with my skittles vodka?

Help please!
Followed an online "recipe". I have 4 beautifully coloured bottles of skittles vodka and one which is perfectly clear but tastes orangey. All the colour came out in the first filtering. Do I buy orange food colouring? Anyone know what I did wrong?

No idea but just to say I don't think you did anything wrong as this happened to me when I made it for the first time a few weeks ago. Mine was a very vary pale orange but looked a bit like dishwater and nothing like the others. I'd go for a little food colouring (though didn't have time to try that myself)

I think and could be 100% wrong, it's a while since I read this that the orange food colourings are the "most dodgy" ones and some were banned a few years ago. Manufacturers are more likely to use more natural colourants for orange food, so it will have a different composition and reaction to the alcohol than the other colours.
