DSD boxing day- should I split DCs sacks in two?

So that they can open presents together and the young DCs aren't bugging DSD and 'helping' her open them?

I think that sounds like a lovely idea.

My Dss is coming in the afternoon too. We're just going to go with the flow and see what he has left to open, but then he's only 2 1/2 and once he's had his main present I have a feeling he won't be interested in anything else Grin. Ds and Dss have presents to give to each other which we'll save til Dss arrives. If your children are older then it might be nice to split their presents so that they have a similar number to your Dsd to open later on.

DS is 2.9 and DD is 18 months. They won't understand that the presents are DSD's so I think I'll keep a few back. DS and DSD have some presents that are the same so it would be quite nice if they open them together.
Or perhaps I'm overthinking christmas a tad too much!

Ah right so similar ages to ds. Then yeah definitely keep some back as they'll probably be overwhelmed anyway with everything. And the ones that are the same should definitely be opened together!

I don't think you're overthinking, you sound very thoughtful.
It's a great idea to keep some back til Boxing Day.

On christmas morning children open stockings have a mess with whats in there, we then have breakfast and start preparing dinner. Normally put a dvd in stocking so they watch that then we go for a walk (used to buy them a football for stocking too) come back have dinner then go in the living room and open gifts Smile boys are 14 and 15 now
