I still need to get

Underwear for DSs stockings
Wrap all stocking fillers
Sort out Christmas eve hampers although everything is bought (except popcorn)
Do food shopping, only need a bit for boxing day and the next 2 days.
Sort out the dogs presents (his birthday is on Friday)

I'm feeling rather organised :)

  • Wait to see what the Sainbos delivery brings me on the 23rd and then cry when they've missed out all the veg and essential stuff.
  • Take taxi to Waitrose on Xmas Eve and try to get some of the things that weren't delivered.
  • clean house ready for guests
  • Prepare guest welcome hamper.
  • Wrap the last of the presents
IwoulddoPachacuti · 20/12/2011 14:20

Nothing! Have finished the last of my wrapping today, just got to wait until Christmas eve now before starting work on the food etc.

I'm working everyday up until then so had to get organised early Smile

Goolash · 20/12/2011 14:25

Pick up my food order from Waitrose on Friday night.
Go to cinema on Christmas Eve.

mummakaz · 20/12/2011 14:42

Just have a few more pressies to wrap tonight, shopping thursday or friday for the fresh bits, clean house top to bottom and then I'm done :)

Bellie · 20/12/2011 14:45

Cook dinner for guests tonight.

2/3rds of the presents to wrap.

sort out bedding for sleep-over that dd is having here on Wed.

Buy fresh fruit/veg on Friday.

Come up with some inspired other desert and make before Christmas Day, as no-one likes mince-pies/christmas pudding/cake(!!)

olibeansmummy · 20/12/2011 16:07

Wrap ds and dh's presents ( saving them for tomorrow when dh is away at his works conference/do to help me feel more festive) and 1 more of dss's that came today.

Food shop tomorrow morning for treats etc as having Xmas/ boxing day at parent's.

Feel better ( been feeling sick all day. Not surprising as I was thrown up on by 2 separate kids on fri at school Sad)

Pick up one last present, buy tape and wrap everything!!!!

Do food shop

Buy chocolate santas for dd's friends that we're meeting up with on Thursday

Buy a good puzzle book

Go to Christmas market and panto on Christmas Eve

Do food prep on Christmas Eve

Sloobreeus · 20/12/2011 16:19

Wrap some of the presents. Make the bread sauce. Settle down on Christmas Eve to watch old films with DD (our Christmas Eve "tradition").

NotMostPeople · 20/12/2011 16:22

Buy DS's 'main' present because the one we were going to get 16" TV with DVD has been discontinued by Tesco (even though they're still displaying it)

Buy DD2 some kind of item of clothing, am running out of ideas have been to H&M, Zara, GAP and M&S today.

Wait in for the man who's bringing DH's present.

Take dd1 to her music exam tomorrow (what bad timing).

Get dd1 to tidy her room in preparation for Grandparents tomorrow.

Change bedding in DD1's room, get clean towels etc for Grandparents tomorrow.

Clean whole house before arrival tomorrow.

Wrap all presents!

Buy voucher for local theatre as present for MIL and FIL -

Buy small something to open on the day present for MIL and FIL

Wait in for man coming to fix central heating on Thursday AND food shop being delivered.

Wrap teachers presents before tomorrow morning - actually get dc's to do that.

I really shouldn't be on here.

KinkyDoritoWithFairyLightsOn · 20/12/2011 16:26

- Wait to see what the Sainbos delivery brings me on the 23rd and then cry when they've missed out all the veg and essential stuff.

Yep.

The thought of Tesco with DS so close to Christmas fills me with dread.

I've also just realised I've happily ordered loads of crap to eat through, and Christmas dinner stuff, but no other meals. I had not considered what else we would be eating after Boxing Day. This means I either (a) will have to ready myself for a supermarket trip on Tuesday next week or (b) accept that we are eating biscuits until I can be bothered to face the shops again.

MegBusset · 20/12/2011 16:30

Panto tomorrow
Finish Tesco order (due Thursday)
Pick up any bits left out of order
Wrap one last present
That's it I think!

paddypoopants · 20/12/2011 16:43

Every bloody thing - although I think I have all presents bought and stashed somewhere. I was so smug and well prepared and then ds came down with 4 days of D & V followed by a really nasty cold virus so in the past week I have been a far as the doctors and chemist and had no sleep.
So if I can't organise/buy it on Saturday then it's not happening.
I think I may hate all of you that are so well prepared.

inmysparetime · 20/12/2011 16:46

Buy a chicken.
That's it.
DH still hasn't sent his parents a Christmas card, but it's probably too late now and I'm sick of nagging him.

molepomandmistletoe · 20/12/2011 17:25

Pick up porkpie from butcher.

AngryFeet · 20/12/2011 17:42

Wrap presents - will do this tonight I think.

Clean house on Thursday.

That's it :)

aStarOverMangerways · 20/12/2011 17:46

wrap presents, although since there are only three this shouldn't take long

wrap dd's stocking bits, although again this shouldn't take long as she is only 5 months old so it is basically just pyjamas and tights Xmas Grin

do a food shop (just a normal one)

clean our disgusting hovel, although that is less christmassy and just a normal part of life

Dillydollydaydream · 20/12/2011 17:47

Wrapped most of the presents. Just a few of dc3 to do still. Got most non perishable food just need to get turkey 23rd, veg, fruit and some extra alcohol!

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 20/12/2011 17:53

I'll have to go shopping either Thursday or Friday, probably late at night in the hopes there's nobody else there, and I have one present to wrap. That's it. I can't even be bothered to write a shopping list though, have had that horrible virus that's going round and feel totally weak and floppy. I shall just wander aimlessy round the shop stuffing crap in the trolley and hope for the best I think. We're eating Christmas dinner at my mam's so everything else is just snacks and crap and then I can always go send DH shopping midweek for bits.
Am going out tomorrow to watch DD in the Nativity --why yes, she is Mary

Bonkerz · 20/12/2011 17:59

All presses are wrapped. Am hoping mil makes the effort to come get hers before Xmas. Tesco just delivered freezer deserts and bits for boxing day when family are over.

Just got to go veg and salad shopping Saturday and I need to buy some alcohol as have none in the house.

Am making 240 mile round trip tomorrow to tidy my mums grave Sad and leave some cards from kids. Once that's done I can get on with being joyful!

lljkk · 20/12/2011 18:14

Just bought something else on Ebay (pickup). Small number of other Things to wrap, and whatever surprises Saturday afternoon shop means we'll be cooking.

mogs0 · 20/12/2011 18:53

Wrap presents
Finish writing christmas cards and post/deliver them
Sort out my Mum's birthday present/card (tomorrow)
Afternoon tea tomorrow for Mum's birthday
Clean the house
Get the washing under control
Night away with dsis on Friday
2 days of work

I am definitely taking time off before Christmas next year...I feel very overwhelmed by it all.

mumeeee · 20/12/2011 20:02

Finish ironing. Get rest of stocking stuff for DH. Cook some mince pies. Working tomorrow, Thursday and a few hours on Christmas Eve. Finish writing Christmas Cards and post them. Have coffee with a friend tomorrow morning. Buy a Christmas cake. Start wrapping presents and tidy the house. Although I'll get help with some of this.

AFingerofFudge · 20/12/2011 20:44

Take DS1 to the dentist tomorrow
Buy few last presents
Nightshift tomorrow night Xmas Sad
Food shopping -also write list so don't buy lots of random crap like last year
Entertaining on Friday night so work out what to cook and shop for it
Wrap presents
Write Christmas cards
Clean house
Change all beds and wash bedsheets- all has to be clean for Christmas, and anyway, haven't done them for ages a short while

Cripes, I thought I was organized, erm....I'm another that shouldn't be here!!
