Does anyone need volunteers this Christmas (with a catch)?

DH, I and DS (a toddler) will spend Christmas by ourselves in London, and I thought maybe we could help some charity on Christmas day. We can't do proper work with a toddler on tow (that's the catch), but maybe we could visit a house for elderly or homeless people or something like that. Probably it's too short notice to arrange something, but I thought it was worth asking?

We're in NW London, by the way (if it makes any difference).

Lots of churches do a feeding the homeless on Christmas Day lunch, might be worth phoning a few vicars, or more likely - the salvation army!

Thanks, LittleMissGreen, that's a good idea.

The Pinner Association of Churches has a lunch on xmas day for people who are otherwise alone and last week they were still asking for volunteers. It's for serving, greeting etc and especially transport. it's mostly between 10 and 1 on 24th and/or between 11 and 3.30 on xmas day. If it might suit you the person to phone is Marcos on 02084285639.
I've never been and the info is from my church newsletter. But I do know someone who does it every year and she says it's wonderful.
