Ds keeps going on about it, he's 5.

I have no idea what it really is and if I were to buy something are there any cheap options?

my dd informs me its like pokemon [if your of a certain age youll remember that] with trading cards.you can get wierd plastic characters that fold up and then you flick them onto the other trading cards to win them....dont make a mass of sense to me either but thats aparently what its all about.hope that helps

No cheap options I've found, but they can cost as little as 4-5 quid. I got my boys some and while I think they are tat and not worth the money, they have played with them a LOT since last Christmas. They're tiny though!

You can get a starter kit for about a tenner which normally has 3 bakugan which are these little balls that open out when you roll them onto a magnetic card. We have 100s of the things now. DS loves them as he likes to collect things (probable AS). There is a cartoon of Bakugan too so DS plays it how they play it on the telly, however there are rules that you can find in the starter pack. Whatever you do, don't buy the battle arena. It is pants!

Be careful of buying on ebay. We got some like these which I don't believe were real but were fantastic. We then bought one of the big ones (you can get them that all click together) and it was dreadful.

Dd1 has a few (and will get some for christmas), the smaller ones are great but do not buy the larger ones as they are so tricky to fold up and causes lots of moaning and crying Grin.

Marne, Dragonoid Collossus is OK but do not buy Maxus Dragonoid! That one just falls apart every time.

Thanks all. I'm not buying it - I don't want to start another collection. He is a little obsessive about having 'all' of a set so don't want to encourage it!

Very sensible. I wish I had never agreed Grin

Dd1 has asked for dragon collossus but i havn't bought it as was worried it would take too long to fold up, maybe she can get it with her christmas money from her grandad.

Lefty, i think you have made the right choice, we have too many collections which have got out of hand (cost a fortune) now she has started with the pokemon Sad.
