The3Bears · 16/12/2011 23:53

I just have to finish wrapping and hiding presents away from a nosey 4 yr old, finish the rest of the christmas cards and I think that may be it.

WhatWouldLeoDo · 17/12/2011 08:20

Haven't sent any Christmas cards. I ordered them online ages ago but they haven't arrived. Another set have been despatched but they still haven't arrived. After finishing all my christmas shopping ages ago, there's no way I'm going into town today to buy more cards.

I need to make pastry for mince pies, do some home made foody gifts, strain the Christmas Pudding vodka and wrap all the presents.

jetstar · 17/12/2011 08:31

SeriousWispaHabit · 17/12/2011 22:23

I have 8 people arriving on Christmas Eve and leaving on the 27th. Presents are almost all bought but haven't got a clue what I'm planning on feeding them all other than Christmas dinner, the house (that we only moved into a few months ago) needs a serious tidy and sort out so they've got somewhere to sleep, and nothing is wrapped. I also promised a tray of homemade reindeer cupcakes for the toddler group Christmas party on Thursday.

Just about do-able, but I've just agreed to do some extra shifts all day tomorrow and Tuesday and on Wednesday afternoon Hmm

SeriousWispaHabit · 17/12/2011 22:24

And currently sitting here fretting about it all but doing nothing about it and drinking wine instead Grin

timetosmile · 18/12/2011 21:21

This weekend we all went to the Panto and dropped some relatives' presents off (and picked some up which I still have to hide)

Posting last lot of cards and parcels tomorrow.

DH has a day off and a job list as long as his arm to do tomorrow.

And when I get back from work I will sort out the fridge and freezer slump in front of a festive movie.

How have the rest of you got on?

So far I have bought present for 18yr old nephew, we have 1 fridge magnet and I have wrapped most stocking presents but not tree presents. On the upside my lack of progress does mean is more to do with the children! My plan is:-

Today - get stocking for ds (girls have posh ones but he doesn't), order cinema tickets (bribe reward for being good this week), get some stuff to make hamper with children for dh. Make good housekeeping no soak christmas cake.

Tuesday - quiet day hoping last minute online stuff arrives. Baking with children. DVD fest.

Wednesday - going out with friends

Thursday - craft + wrapping day

Friday - go to cinema, pack clothes

Saturday - head for the relatives.

Plus each night try to wrap as much of children's pressies as possible.

Think most people will have to get an e-card this year as have genuinely lost most of my addresses!
