Presents for nursery staff

Hi. My DD goes to nursery 3 days a week and I was planning on getting the girls that look after her something for Christmas. While there's two that she spends most time with there are a few others that she's also had a lot to do with so it needs to be flexible. Last year I bought a selection of mini bottles of wine. Do people normally give money / buy presents? And does anyone have any suggestions for what I could buy?

Thanks in advance Smile

I just had in a tub of celebrations chocolates and a card.

Last year I got them a big tub of celebrations, this year (as some of the parents have asked) they've got a collection box in the entrance so you can give donations towards their staff night out so I'm just going to stiuck a tenner in that

I took in biscuits and chocolates, a big tin of each. There are too many staff to do individual ones! I like the collection tin idea though! I may suggest that to nursery manager next year, wouldn't mind sticking a tenner in that!

I did little cheeses these and some savoury biscuits as the pile of sweet stuff was huge. What I think I will try & do next year is give the nursery manager a bit of cash to buy some wine at their Christmas meal out instead. I was too disorganised this year.

I've taken in a bottle of wine in for each of the staff at DDs preschool and they seemed very appreciative. There was a mounting pile of chocolates and biscuits so I think they were glad of something different.
The wine was a half price deal in Tesco weeks ago on a decent brand wine so it didn't cost much either.

my daughter went to nursery four days a week for 2 years. The staff were amazing - and paid crap salaries by the owners. I figured they take care of my daughter so much of the time that just once a year I could give them something they really wanted... which is cash ! I gave 4 of them £50 each. They were delighted. I get a very small bonus at xmas at work and took it out of that.

Thanks for the advice - I think I'll go with wine or cash.
