Urgent, Fairy lights that are NOT L.E bloody D's

Asked DH to order new fairy lights for the tree specifically stating NOT to be LED.

Guess what arrived today? 720 of the feckers, which don't even cover my 7ft tree.

So I now urgently need lights for my tree, Where can I get proper fairy lights from? Pref with a next day delivery?

Please help!

can't you just go to asda or tesco?

bigTillyMincepie · 13/12/2011 18:13

Tescos have loads - all 1/3 off. But what's wrong with LED's?

TheBolter · 13/12/2011 18:16

720 lights don't cover your 7' tree?

I'm sure I've got 120 which quite amply cover my 6' one!

That aside, most supermarkets sell 'normal' christmas light.

Calm down love, have a Brew Grin

(Imay add that 120 LEDs cover my 6 foot tree!)

I wish I could just nip to the shops, live in the back of beyond and don't drive so needs to be somewhere that delivers.

LED's are just too bright, He ordered soft white or warm white but they are really strong.

I bought some on Amazon that are normal fairy lights - they had lots of choice there and quick delivery.

TerraNotSoFirma · 13/12/2011 18:19

Hmm I think I may have found the problem with coverage Blush
You are supposed to untangle them aren't you Blush

Anyway they are still too bright, Got them from tesco and thats all they had.

I don't know if Homebase or Argos might deliver you some. They have them in the shop.

SantaAteAllTheBiscuits · 13/12/2011 18:23

the tesco ones that are tiny aren't too bright. I bought them on special offer for the tree out front but when I plugged them in they were so nice we decided to put them on the tree inside (which we don't have yet as nowhere round here has anything other than scraggy twigs of things)

'200 clear multifunction microlights' is what's written on the box

whenPaschagotstuckupthechimney · 13/12/2011 18:24

these seem to be non-LED

weblette · 13/12/2011 18:26

How about here

thisisyesterday · 13/12/2011 18:26

if you can get to a shop then sainsburys had tons in 1/3 off and homebase had all theirs half price.

most places do still sell regular lights.

I love LED's myself... no bulbs to change, one bulb out doesn't take out the entire string. they're great

thisisyesterday · 13/12/2011 18:29

these?

TerraNotSoFirma · 13/12/2011 18:30

They have sent the wrong thing! They are 'Super bright white lights' No wonder I think I'm in blackpool!

He ordered warm white twinkle lights.

Phonecall to tesco coming up!

I was too excited about getting the tree done to read the box, Big kid.
