I'm sure that lots of you know about this book already but just wanted to recommend it to those who don't. I'm just 'discovering' it for the first time this Christmas and I think will be re-reading it every year from now onwards! I can't wait until the DCs are old enough to appreciate it.

If you want an easy to read, nostalgic Christmassy book this one is the very best imo!

If anyone in television ever happens to read this please please please get it made into a TV special in time for next Christmas - it would be fab

I used to be the only person I knew who'd read it when I was a child! It used to be my special, secret Christmas tradition. I'm so glad to see it's in print still, and that it's enjoying a lot of popularity.

Yes I hadn't heard of it before this year Reshape, you're lucky to have been reading it since you were a child!

I just got a copy this year and DD (9) has read it and really liked it.
