Actually my Mum, sister and I are all contributing for a Kinect for my nephew. He's 9 and keeps talking about a remote and sports games.

Help, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I've seen one bundle on John Lewis website but it says nothing about a remote.

Watching with interest - as far as I know, you ARE the remote with the kinect?

There is a kinect sports game, if thats any help to you.

We have a kinect, but not the newer version with voice activation, you don't need a remote as rhonda is right you are the remote, you use your arms the control what you do.

I am probably stating the obvious but ...

You need an X-box to cable the Kinect to.
No need for a remote - all motion sensitive.

You need a big playing area - around 6 ft of space.

Most bundles come with Kinect Adventures which is a bit of fun but definitely more for my 6yo than 9yo.

There is a Kinect Sports by EA and now a Season 2 version of the game. Looking at the sports on them, I'd suggest you go for the original one (will be cheaper too). We have the first one and love it.
