Present Ideas for girl aged 7?

DD1 is 7 - I have no idea what to get her. Everything seems too babyish or too grown-up IYKWIM.

Spent a whole day yesterday present buying - DD2 (5) and DS1 (3) are sorted.

Could you share what you are buying for your pre-teen girls? :)

Treble recorder, guitar, books, art things in a nice ruck sack, box of magic tricks. Also found it very very difficult this year, especially as we didnt want to get a gadget.

Agree very tricky.

DD is also 7 and asked for a 3DS but she has a DS already so - no way!

I am taking her to see JLS next year so that will be her main present from me and DH - the tickets are not printed yet, so I am going to surprise her with an IOU in a fancy envelope.

Also got a couple of CDs, art stuff, books (Harry Potter box set as she read the first one and enjoyed, although she is too young yet for the later books), clothes, new dressing gown and slippers, some playmobil to add to her collection.

I would reccy a big playmobil set - DD spends hours playing with hers and has asked for more so I don't think it's too "young".

Dd 7 is getting a Playmobil Hospital, plus a small children's bedroom set to go in it, new pjs, a jigsaw, and a book. And some random stocking bits.

I know she'd really like lots of moshi monsters, too, but that's not happening......

my dd is playing very nicely at the moment with moxie girlz, the moxie grilz bike and doll is her fav

I got my daughter a karaoke machine for her 7th bday, she loves singing and has great fun singing with her friends and brothers (in fact we all have a sneaky go!) Great fun and very sociable but can be used on her own!

7 year old DD is getting:-

She is quite a young though. Wouldn't call her a preteen - are they at 7?

Dd1 is getting lego (ninjago), a DS with pokemon game, and a drawing tablet for the pc (so she can draw on sketchfu), she's also getting some books and dvds and a few moshi monster bits.

My dd will be 7 at Christmas. From everybody and over the 2 events she's having:-

Sounds a lot but thats pretty much everything from everybody over both.

My dd is getting a lot of craft things I've bought over the year and put away- Gelarti, Zubber and some Moonsand. Also some Sylvanian bits, some good as new books from the charity shop and a stocking full of the random bits of tat she collects- a nice chunk of amethyst, some Squinkies and a giant tub of lego to fight over share with her brother.

She is a very complex character - hence the mixed bag :)

My daughter is 7 and half - getting/got her moshi monsters stuff, me to you sticker book (she loves them) choccy, art stuff, tinkerbell stuff etc, past successes for 7th birthday have included a ukulele, moxie girls (be true be you!) littlest pet shop, stationery ANYTHING Hello Kitty etc.
If your daughter is a bit of a grown up 7 what about Harumika?

This is v useful thread - I am going to check out Laloopsie doll! My quite grown-up 7-year-old dd is getting:

Barbie hairtastic (which I think she will get bored with but she has insisted)

She already has CD player, DS, camera - which were all brilliant gifts. Oh and those mechanised animals (Lulu the kitten etc) - she wants more but I am vetoing those.
