Sorry, this is my 2nd thread in Christmas tonight but I haven't got a clue what to buy our 9y old this year Blush

I have the normal new pj's, smellies and Badge it but she has said she doesn't want anything else and maybe I could buy her a new cardi.

This would be fine but she has 2 younger sisters who have around 8/10 presents so I do want to buy her a little more than a new cardi.

What books, games, crafty things are your 9y olds getting this year?

My 9 yr old DD is getting:

Stocking- moshi monsters, pens, writing pad, badges etc from Paperchase, tote bag, chocolate Santa.

Main presents:

Red converse boots, clothes she chose from Next (would never normally shop here so these are a treat), 2x Zhu Zhu hamsters, a Tea-cup Piggie plus clothes, the new Jacqueline Wilson book, an outfit that matches her cousins (they like to wear matching clothes).

I might add to that a couple of audio book cd's and she really wants a copy of Mary Poppins.

DD is 10 so a bit older.

Her two main presents are a mobile - she is starting to go out on her own more. The second thing she is getting is a Sylvanian Families house. She still loves playing with her SF stuff Smile

chrimblycompo · 06/12/2011 21:28

Has she got a bop it?

Bohica · 06/12/2011 22:09

Yes to bop it and I love that cece's DD still plays with her SF Smile

The thing is she will play with all of her younger sisters toys, dolls, mooshi tree, creations etc.

I have been looking at Harumika but I'm Shock at the price for bits of material.

What is a bop it?!

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 06/12/2011 22:25

My 10 yr old dd has,

2 smallish sylvanian sets
A new doll, that I've had to strip the pink clothes off and knit new ones for at her request!
Needle felting stuff, she is totally hooked on it and it's great, cheap too. Myriad toys sell it, also eBay I think.
New frock.

Stocking..

New bag, book, pen and note book, lush bombs, knitting wool and a few small bits I can't remember. Orange, nuts etc!

snice · 06/12/2011 22:31

just dance3 for the Wii
CDs
Guinness Book of Records
Dressing Gown
Watch
Chocolate orange

Dd had Harumika set when they were on offer and then we buy extra material scraps from the market at 20 or 30 p a time

She also likes most of the stock in Paperchase, gel pens, mini staplers etc

BarryShitpeas · 06/12/2011 22:32

A nerf gun
bike pegs
Judy Moody books

These are what she has asked for.

snice · 06/12/2011 22:34

Bohica · 06/12/2011 22:37

I now have Just Dance 3 (I'd completly forgotton she wanted this and we didn't get it sent with the MN Wii bundle) Guinness book of records and Judy Moody books added to her list.

Thank you Smile

yogabonkers · 06/12/2011 22:54

malakadoush · 06/12/2011 23:09

Nerf guns are great!

I'm getting my DD a sewing machine. It's not a childrens one specifically, but it is a mini one from John Lewis - it's fab and I can't wait to see her face when she opens it.

Not too expensive either - so win win!

cece · 06/12/2011 23:10

My friend's DD still (secretly) plays with her SF stuff and she is 14 next week Smile

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 06/12/2011 23:12

A craft kit to make a sparkly dreamcatcher, a chinese lady outfit with a beautiful embroidered dress and slippers, parasol, fan and tights (the whole lot for about £25 on Amazon!) and some books. Banangrams and story cubes.
