Books for all kids - budget about a fiver per piece?

Well, no xmas shopping for me yet. Due to me visiting family from abroad, I need to go with the online option for presents.

There will be all my sisters kids there ages: 9, 13, 15 and 16. Plus 5 adults.

I thought of getting books for everyone - but don't know where to start!

Does anyone have any hot tips, particularly for the kids? I have no idea when it comes to buying for those ages, my dd is only 4. Also for the adults.

I wanted to try and spend a fiver on each person max, as my budget is TINY!

p.s kids parents are going through painful divorce, so any fun books that may cheer them up would suit.

Hoping there are some life savers out there! I want to avoid stress big time!

lots of book threads about at the moment so have a quick look on those but Room is fab for adults and The Road is an amazing book - both pretty miserable though so not for those going through painful divorce

have a look on the bookpeople website for inspiration.

Definitely look at the book people. They have free delivery on at the moment - just put STAR in the checkout promo box. You can search on price too so very useful.

Red house is also good for kids books, I think they are the same group as the Book People but they only have kids books so a bit of a bigger selection. Delivery from both is good and they are easy to use IME

for older girls get sweet valley high or judy blume books.

for boys get diary of a wimpy kid.

My dd is 9y. She likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Malory Towers, David Walliams, Ramona, Cathy Cassidy...amongst others.

It's very tear jerky but 16 year old might like Before I Die of it's a girl.

Have a look on bananas website too - part of bookpeople group
but have even cheaper books - hardbacks and collections as well at bargain basement prices, but stock is limited! Just got a complete Winnie the Pooh collection in gift case for ....

The Hunger Games trilogy would be good for the older teenagers, if they haven't read it already.

I would recommend 'which witch' for the nine year old. Brilliant but not popular if you know what I mean so she probably hasn't got it already.
