I really, really cant face writing and sending christmas cards this year.

bad I know - esp as I do like to receive and display them.

We are moving house in Jan. I am snowed under at work. I have young children. My mother is ill. My son's bitrthday is at Xmas and I need to arrange the party. Haven't started any xmas shopping. I know it is slack but Xmas cards will send me over the edge I fear.

What would you think if you recieved a nice homemade card, photo of the kids etc, i.e not just a generic one, with a message saying as we about to move I hope you wont mind this ecard, happy christmas, here is our new address etc?

That would be fine by me. As time goes on I wonder more about the point of christmas cards, especially to those you haven't seen or spoken to for years and actually, lets be honest have no interest in. Anyone you know who would like to receive such a card from you wll appreciate you haven't got the time or money to do paper ones. I say go for it.
