I am from the mid-west, near Cologne. Been here for seven years but keeping the traditions for DS. It means we have triple presents galore - Nikolaus, Christmas Eve and Christmas day

What are the presents on Christmas Eve for Mama?

I like the sound of that!!

German children get their presents on Christmas Eve delivered by the angel. We don't really have a Santa (although he is starting to 'take over'), but we have the Nikolaus who came yesterday and does stocking style presents, which he leaves in the childrens' boots. DS got pants, vests and socks (useful!), some chocolate and a sticker book.

On Christmas Eve DS is going to have presents from German relatives / friends. I also ordered him two DVDs from Amazon Germany which he is getting from us - Lion King and Alice in Wonderland, can't wait And he is getting some new pyjamas to wear.

Then Christmas day we join in the British mad opening frenzy and he gets all the 'main' presents on top of a Santa stocking .

Triple the madness!!!
