Mine and DH's grandmothers

We have exhausted the pics of grandchildren, they always gets flowers from everyone and are overrun with them.

Any ideas for something inventive please?

Tricky, isn't it? My parents and DH's are in their 80s/90s and all live alone so we struggle with presents too.

What about a CD player so they can listen to talking books if they find reading small type a struggle? Or large-print books?

You can get some lovely aromatherapy cushions that can be heated in the microwave to put against aching backs and generally keep them warm.

My mum likes to feel she's looking nice especially when people visit so I'm going to buy her some earrings.

Depending on budget and tech savvy, a Kindle might be good as it's light to hold and means all their reading material is in one place that's easily accessible - maybe the whole family could chip in?

Other than that, we often go for consumables, such as chocolates, and necessities, such as warm vests/cardis/anything else they mention they need.

Magazine subscription? My grandmother is a similar age and always seems happy to receive one, plus it is the gift that keeps on giving...
