fluffy earmuffs, a scarf and/or gloves, Poundstretcher had some big Hello Kitty plushies in this week for £4.99 - they had pink ones and "gothy" black n pink ones. They had Christmas mugs with sweeties in too come to think of it.

What about this lipbalm set, or this notebook?

wohmum · 08/12/2011 23:01

Some great ideas, thank you.

I like the fluffy ear muffs idea- will look out for those

M&S are doing buy 1 get 1 half price on kids/girls smellies, colourful packs of bath balls and cupcake shaped fizzers etc. They'd make a lovely gift for a young teenager! Smile

primark have fluffy ear muffs my dd1 [12] [she would laugh at me if i got her hello kitty ones though] i would have to duck as they were hurdled accross the room Xmas Grin loves them and the finger less gloves with the mitten part to put over your fingers. she has also asked for a friendship bracelet making kit. body spray would be good [charle do a gift set this time of year]

As a mum to a 12 year old girl I would suggest steering clear of any themed gift (i.e. Hello Kitty) if you get it wrong it will be very wrong. Something like a hot chocolate mug set or similar would be very safe.

mrsjay · 09/12/2011 11:29

I was going to say steer clear of the themed gifts too as hello kitty isnt for every girl and some girls see it is as cool other girls see it as babyish , anyhoo id go with a mug with something in it hot chocolate/jelly beans that kinda thing , also Lush have wrapped gift sets for about a fiver ,

wohmum · 09/12/2011 14:09

Thanks a lot - so mugs with chocs, earmuffs ( but not branded/themed) or nice smellies it is!

Noooo - not smellies - my 13 y/o has a cupboard full from last year! she has just done this at school, and bought three neon and sparkly nail polishes from miss sporty. Don't do a theme for the reason someone above posted.

bumpybecky · 09/12/2011 14:11

I've got 13 and 11 year old girls. Neither would appreciate Hello Kitty. Both would love anything from Lush or sweets / chocolates :)
